About Sunday Afternoon Picnics
It all started when three close friends attended a beach picnic while on vacation on the east coast. We were inspired by the idea of a modern all-inclusive picnic service, so we combined our unique talents and tastes to create Sunday Afternoon here in Cincinnati. Our company is founded on the idea that picnics should be beautiful, stress-free, and of course, delicious.
At Sunday Afternoon Picnics, we value three important things that are sure to make your picnic amazing.
Complete customization. Leave the red checkered blanket in the past! We offer a variety of different color, decor, and food options and encourage our guests to customize as much as they want to. Your picnic should be uniquely your own and perfectly suited to your occasion.
Ease of use. Picnics should be fun, not stressful. We’ll set up at your desired location and provide everything you need for an enjoyable evening in nature with loved ones. We provide a your choice of food, a picnic table, blankets/cushions, dining ware, a bluetooth speaker, and custom decor. You’ll get an hour and a half of picnic time to enjoy food and friends, and then we’ll take care of the rest. No need to bring a thing - we do it all.
Sustainability and community. We value small businesses, so we work with several local businesses to provide you the freshest snacks and treats. A lot of our picnic items are thrifted, handmade, and low-waste. It is a privilege to set up our picnics in a variety of local parks around town and enjoy the scenery our beautiful Cincinnati has to offer.

Meet Ellen!
She loves anything that is creative, hands on, and brings people together, and Sunday Afternoon Picnics is just that! Ellen works at Cincinnati Children’s doing behavior therapy with young children diagnosed with autism. In her free time, Ellen loves to go on hikes with her dogs, have coffee with a friend, or go to dinner with her boyfriend. Her favorite thing about picnics is seeing friends and family getting to spend time together!
Meet Shelby-Lynn!
She is passionate about bringing joy to others! She is a full-time outside sales representative for a luxury appliance distributor and loves being on the road! She enjoys spending time with her dog June, reading (especially thriller novels), and playing board games with friends! Her favorite part of picnics is experiencing the client’s excitement when they arrive to their picnic!
